START THE New Year on a healthy note while helping others by joining the USANA Champions For Change Fun Run on January 19, 2014 (Sunday) at the SM Mall of Asia grounds in Pasay City.  The five-kilometer footrace is part of the fifth anniversary activities of USANA Philippines, the local affiliate of USANA Health Sciences in the United States.

Proceeds of the event will go to the USANA True Health Foundation, the company’s non-profit charity arm whose mission is to help needy people worldwide by focusing on the most critical of basic human needs – nutrition, clothing, shelter, medical assistance and health education.  It was founded in 2012 by Dr. Myron Wentz and Dave Wentz in order to expand the mother company’s charity works.

The number “5” will be quite popular during the event.  Aside from celebrating five years and running five kilometers, registration is only PHP 555.00 and organizers are targeting 5,000 runners to sign up.

The race kit will include a commemorative event singlet and race bib.  USANA has tapped tested fun run organizer Pep Squad Events and Marketing to manage the event.

Registration will initially be conducted exclusively online at http://usana.pepsquadevents.com until January 6, 2014.  After that date, interested participants may flock to the USANA offices located at 24th floor of Enterprise Center Tower One at the corner of Ayala Avenue and Paseo de Roxas, Makati City until January 17, 2014.

To know more about how to donate to the USANA Foundation’s charity programs, visit http://www.usanafoundation.org.  Contributions are tax deductible but please check first with your taxation professional.
