Pediatricians Run On April 16

     A RARE Tuesday afternoon fun run will be held on April 16, 2013 with the Takbo Para Sa Kabataang Pinoy at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) grounds starting at 4:00 PM.  This is one of the activities of the 50th annual convention of the Philippine Pediatric Society (PPS) at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

     Events on tap are six and three-kilometer runs and a 500-meter dash for both adults and children.  Trophies and gift items await the top three finishers in all events with side contests that include the search for the oldest and youngest participant, biggest running family, largest hospital delegation and largest chapter delegation.

     Fees are only PHP 250.00 for the six kilometer run and PHP 200.00 for the three kilometers.  The 500-meter dash is for pegged at PHP 100.00 for both adults and children.

     Registration is going on at Chris Sports branches at SM City North EDSA and Glorietta III as well as Fitness & Athletics Company at Bonifacio Global City.  Runners may also go to Pediatrica Inc. at the Bonaventure Plaza on Ortigas Avenue during office hours.  Online registration is available by clicking here.

     The race kit includes a singlet, race bib and timing device.  Medals will await all finishers in the six and three-kilometer categories.

     The PPS counts over 4,000 members in nine chapters nationwide.  It was founded in 1947 as a specialty division of the Philippine Medical Association (PMA).
