13th FilOil: DLSU d. Letran, 80-69

#FFVPC13     SAN JUAN City – De La Salle University completed the semifinal cast of the 13th FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup via an 80-69 drubbing of Colegio de San Juan de Letran Monday at the FilOil Flying V Centre.  Andei Caracut and Florencio Serrano starred in a strong fourth period that easily handed the win to the Green Archers.

The Knights gave it one last threat behind scores from Larry Muyang and Jeo Ambohot, 58-65, but the DLSU defense held them scoreless in a critical two-minute span that resulted in a triple from Caracut and a four straight stabs from Serrano in a crushing 11-2 run that resulted into a 76-60 cushion entering the last two minutes.

Serrano paced DLSU with 18 points.  Caracut followed with 15 points while leading tournament Most Valuable Player contender Justin Baltazar knocked in 11.
