NCRAA26: Immaculada Concepcion d. NCBA, 103-92

#NCRAA26     DAGUPAN CITY – Immaculada Concepcion College ended their maiden season with a bang by thwarting National College of Business and Arts, 103-92, in the penultimate game of the 26th National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) elimination round Wednesday at the Dagupan City People’s Astrodome.  With only pride and final standings at stake, the Blue Hawks brought home enough memories to last until the next season opens later this year.

Holding on to a shaky 67-64 lead after three periods, ICC broke the game wide open thanks to a 12-0 run to set the score at 79-64.  The tight defense also held the Wildcats without a field goal until JM Aculana broke their silence at the five-minute mark but the Blue Hawks were already on cruise control.

The victory marks only the second for the rookie team but Coach Jay Agsalud vowed an improved unit for next time.  Coach Agsalud opted to field his second stringers as starters thus their slow start but the team settled down in time for their second half binge.

John Mark Palec powered the Blue Hawks with 29 points.  He was supported by Gerard Cabreros with 23.

Aculana paced the Wildcats with 25 points.  Kelvin Rodriguez chipped in 24 points.
