NCRAA25: Olivarez d. AIMS, 105-57

#NCRAA25    CALASIAO, PANGASINAN – Olivarez College rolled to its fourth straight win in style via 105-57 demolition of Asian Institute of Maritime Studies to kick off the 25th Sta. Lucia Land National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) games at the Calasiao Sports Complex Tuesday morning.  The Sea Lions in the process set a new season record for highest score and highest winning margin at 48 points.

Superb play from Olivarez substitutes did the trick as they keyed their second period breakaway.  Coach Michael Saguiguit fielded in Jeric Prado, Raymond Andico and Louie Campos and they combined for 20 points to give the Sea Lions the half, 42-23, and the trio did not stop there as they proceeded to up their lead by as much as 52 points in the fourth period, 100-48.

Campos led the winners with 17 points and nine rebounds in only 15 minutes of action.  Prado followed with 16 points and six rebounds in 18 minutes as they moved into solo leadership of Group A, half a game ahead of idle Technological Institute of the Philippines (3-0).

The best AIMS could do was score the final five points of the opening period to close in, 11-14.  CJ Gancayco topped the now 0-4 Blue Sharks with 20 points followed by reserve center Genesis Unas with nine points and 10 rebounds.

AIMS (57) – Gancayco 20, Unas 9, Monido 6, Alvendia 5, Moncada 4, Nival 4, Pacla 3, Rosadia 2, Inid 2, Roblo 2, Hernandez 0, Lotoc 0, Gasgonia 0,Javiero 0, Balasabas 0, Calopez 0.

Period Scores: 14-11, 42-23, 73-39, 105-57.
