FilOil: June 2 Juniors Roundup

2017 FilOil Flying V Premier Cup     SAN JUAN City – Far Eastern University and Nazareth School of National University picked up crucial wins Friday (June 2) to move back into contention for a semifinal seat in the Juniors Division of the 11th FilOil Flying V Premier Cup at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

FEU clipped University of the East, 83-75, in the day’s opener.  The Baby Tamaraws completed their elimination round schedule at 4-1 and will now await the results of the remaining games if they will get one of two seats from Group B.

Xyrus Torres led FEU with 16 points.  Ramish Alforque was next with 15.

The Bullpups started strong against Lyceum of the Philippines University-Cavite taking the first period, 33-10.  The Junior Pirates rallied to briefly taste upper hand in the third but the Bullpups had enough finishing kick for the 103-95 final tally.

Rhayyan Amsali paced the Bullpups with 30 points and nine rebouns.  Miguel Oczon followed with 16 markers.
