FilOil: May 17 Juniors Roundup

2017 FilOil Flying V Premier Cup     SAN JUAN City – University of Santo Tomas and Malayan High School of Science sustained their respective winning streaks at the resumption of action in the Juniors Division of the 11th FilOil Flying V Premier Cup Wednesday (May 17) at the FilOil Flying V Centre.  Both squads registered their second win in a row to stay in top contention for two semifinal berths in Group B.

The Tiger Cubs blasted fellow UAAP team University of the East to begin the day, 104-63. In the second game, the Red Robins manhandled University of the Philippines Integrated School, 84-65.

TJ de la Cruz presided over the rout of the Junior Warriors with 19 points and 12 rebounds.  He was supported by CJ Balingit with 14 points and four assists.

Brian Lacap paced the victorious Red Robins with 15 points.  Playing against his former school, Malayan’s Will Gozum posted a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds.
