PARANAQUE CITY – Philippine School of Business Administration returned to the winning track in a big way by blasting Don Bosco Technical College, 102-59, in continuing action from the National Capital Region Universities and Colleges of Luzon Athletic Association (NCRUCLAA) at the Olivarez College Gym Thursday (February 9). A total of six of the 10 players fielded submitted double figures in an awesome display of balanced firepower.
Although the Jaguars led all the way from the opening tip, the Greywolves constantly threatened with only two points separating the teams after the first period, 19-17. Enough was enough and PSBA sought to decide the outcome early as Christian Daguro, Johndel Velasco and Nathaniel Abayon presided over their second period romp that expanded their lead by halftime, 47-31.
So unrelenting were the Jaguars that they even unleashed an 11-0 blast during scrub time that erected their biggest lead of the game, 98-55. PSBA thus improved to 3-1 after losing to PATTS College of Aeronautics in their previous outing, 81-91.
Daguro had a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds to earn the Player of the Game award. Mark Anthony Briones also had a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds.
CJ Carandang again paced Don Bosco with 26 points, five assists and four steals but still lacked support from his teammates. Matthew Balaoing and Erwin Ramilo followed with only eight markers apiece as the Greywolves remained in search of their first victory.
