NAASCU: September 8 Women’s Recap

NAASCU on Facebook     TAGUIG CITY – Rizal Technological University and Enderun Colleges maintained their unblemished records at the 16th National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (NAASCU) Women’s Basketball tournament with big wins Thursday (September 8) at the Enderun Colleges Gym  RTU blasted skidding AMA University, 77-64, while the host Enderun halted Our Lady of Fatima University, 66-51.

In the other women’s fixture, Philippine Merchant Marine School made it two wins in a row by keeping Saint Clare College of Caloocan winless, 62-56.  Only the top four among the six participating teams will advance to the crossover semifinals with the two survivors disputing the title in a best-of-three series.

With their third win in a row, Enderun is pacing the six-team field and is now assured of landing in either of the top two positions and the twice to beat advantage in the semifinals.  Meanwhile, the Lady Thunder are a half-game behind at 2-0.
