NAASCU: September 6 Juniors Recap

NAASCU on Facebook     QUEZON CITY – Saint Clare College of Caloocan and Rizal Technological University emerged as the only remaining undefeated teams in the 16th National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (NAASCU) Junior basketball tournament after they scored contrasting wins last Tuesday (September 6) at the AMA University Gym.  Both schools share the top spot of the 10-team field with 3-0 win-loss cards.

RTU handed Our Lady of Fatima University its first loss in a squeaker, 81-79.  On the other hand, the Junior Saints had a walk in the park against a game New Era University, 80-42.

In other games, home team AMA University blasted visiting Manuel L. Quezon University, 82-71, while Philippine Christian University blew away De Ocampo Memorial College, 101-70.  Philippine Merchant Marine School completed the day’s winners after rallying to clip Colegio de San Lorenzo, 72-64.
