NAASCU: Enderun d. EARIST, 98-90

NAASCU on Facebook     QUEZON CITY – A very entertaining exchange of baskets ensued with Enderun Colleges emerging victorious over Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology, 98-90, at the 16th National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (NAASCU) basketball tournament at the Jesus Christ Saves Global Outreach Gym Friday (August 26).  The two debuting squads unveiled potential stars that could definitely shoot the lights out.

Michael de la Cruz, a former junior national player, connected from all angles as he engaged Tolits Natividad of EARIST in a scoring duel. While Natividad would win their head to head matchup, de la Cruz and the Titans went home with the victory.

De la Cruz finished with 24 points.  He received good support from Mark Javen Gatdula with 14 and Joshua Grilli and Christian Errol Villar with 10 apiece.

Natividad exploded for 33 markers but it was not enough.  Andreas Cahilig supported Natividad with 21 points.

E A R I S T (90) – Natividad 33, Cahilig 21, Montealegre 15, Hilario 13. Martinez 3, Baculpo 2, Llobrera 2, Pancho 0.

Period Scores: 25-20, 53-40, 76-67, 98-90.
