Lillard’s Time In Manila

At the press conference, he gamely answered questions regarding both basketball his love for rapping.  He wished the Philippines the best luck as they go for a wild card berth in the coming Rio de Janeiro Olympics and ended by hoping his Blazers sign up fellow All-Star Kevin Durant, the sure top prize in the coming NBA free agent sweepstakes.

After a brief rest, Lillard and his entourage motored to the Araneta where he engaged selected high school players from the recent adidas Uprising tournament and local adidas ambassadors in a series of fun games and a three-point shootout.  Highlight of the night was a full court scrimmage.

Lillard’s Manila tour was the final leg of his summer Asian tour that began with stops in Beijing, Chengdu and finally Taipei.  Other adidas ambassadors slated to visit Asia later this year are Jeremy Lin of the Charlotte Hornets and former Most Valuable Player Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls but neither of them will visit the Philippines at the moment.

Throughout his tour, Lillard donned his signature D Lillard 2 in a brand new Carpet edition.  The colorway is basically white with red and light teal accents and an outsole design that pays tribute to the carpet inside the Portland International Airport.

The said shoe is now available at selected adidas stores at Trinoma and Gateway Mall.  The suggested retail price is PHP 6,995.00 a pair.
