FilOil: Saint Benilde d. EAC, 71-46

10th FilOil Flying V Premier Cup     SAN JUAN City – College of Saint Benilde finally ended its four-game losing slump by blasting Emilio Aguinaldo College, 71-46, at the resumption of play at the 2016 FilOil Flying V Premier Cup at the San Juan Arena Thursday (May 26).  Both teams are now tied at the bottom of Group A with similar 1-4 win-loss records.

“We are a young team composed mostly of rookies and sophomores,” said Coach Gabby Velasco.  The Blazers’ cause though was bolstered by the return of veteran forward Alfonso Saavedra who immediately made an impact with eight and six rebounds points off the bench.
