ONE OF the Philippine running community’s annual staples, the Philippine Stock Exchange Bull Run, returns for its 12th edition this January 10, 2016 (Sunday) at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. Presented by the PSE in cooperation with Ad Events Manila, the fun run will continue its advocacy of promoting investing in the stock market among Filipinos.
Just like last year, there will be four distance categories to choose from – 21, 16, 10 and five kilometers. It is to be noted that the three-kilometer race has been scrapped and the 16-kilometer category has been reinstated after a one-year absence.
Entry fees are set at PHP 900.00 for 21 kilometers, PHP 850.00 for 16 kilometers, PHP 700.00 for 10 kilometers and PHP 600.00 for five kilometers. The race kit will consist of a special event singlet, race bib and timing device.
Finisher medals await all those who cross the line in the 21 and 16-kilometer races. Aside from the medals, a lot of surprise fun activities will be held at the race village.
Regular registration will commence on December 18, 2016 at Chris Sports branches located in Glorietta III, SM Megamall and SM City North EDSA and at the 27th Floor of the PSE Plaza along Ayala Avenue in Makati City. Race kits will be issued immediately upon proper payment of fees.
For those who cannot wait, special registration is ongoing at the PSE Plaza. However, registrants may opt to have their kits delivered for an additional fee of PHP 100.00 for Metro Manila and PHP 150.00 for provincial addresses, or they will be informed later by the organizers when and where to claim their kits.
A competition will also be held among teams with at least 10 entries in the 21-kilometer category. The winner will be determined by the fastest aggregate time.
A prize also awaits the biggest delegation of at least 25 participants in all categories. These groups may either be running teams, PSE-listed companies, stock brokers or any organization.
In order to be valid, teams or delegations must submit their requirements at the same time. Deadline for submission of all entries is on January 8, 2016 or until supplies last.
