AFTER MORE than a three-year hiatus, “I RUN For Integrity: I am Part of the Solution” hits the streets once again on December 12, 2015 (Saturday) at Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex in Pasay City. Just like its past editions, the fun run hopes to promote integrity among Filipinos through the Integrity Initiative, a project of the European Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (ECCP), American Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (AmCham), Makati Business Club, Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) and Financial Executives of the Philippines (FINEX).
Available distance categories are 10, five and three kilometers – all for the same registration of only PHP 550.00. Each race kit will include an event singlet and a race bib.
What sets the Integrity Run different from other races is that aside from filling out the necessary details on the registration form, the participant must sign an Integrity Pledge. Developing a culture of integrity cannot be made via quick fixes; it has to be done one person at a time.
Entries are now being accepted at selected branches of Chris Sports located in Glorietta 3, Market Market, SM Megamall and SM Mall of Asia and at the ECCP offices located on the 19th Floor of the AXA Life Philippines Building at the corner of Gil Puyat Avenue and Tindalo Street, Makati City. Deadline for submission of entries is on December 4 for Chris Sports and December 7 at the ECCP or until supplies last.
Students, government employees, senior citizens, persons with disabilities as well as those from non-government organizations, event partners and sponsors are entitled to PHP 50.00 off their registration fee. In addition, group registrants will be given one fee entry of their choice for every 10 paying runners.
From the CCP, runners will go to as far as the SM Mall of Asia grounds where they will make their respective u-turns back to CCP. Incidentally, all runners will get to pass by the Philippine Senate along the way.
To add star power to the event, surprise television personalities from co-presentor GMA-7 will grace the occasion and perhaps join in the race. Aside from the Kapuso network, other event co-presentors are Globaltronics, Meralco and Siemens with Platinum Sponsors De La Salle University and Rappler.
The last Integrity Run was held in May, 2012 at the Bonifacio Global City. An estimated combined total of 12,000 runners took part in the 2012 and 2011 races.
