One Peloton, One Road on Oct. 2

newonepeloton     IN LINE with the increased call for road safety awareness, all interested cyclists are cordially invited to participate in “One Peloton, One Road”, an advocacy ride around the SM Mall of Asia complex on October 2 (Friday) starting at 5:00 AM. All participants are encouraged to wear white as the event hopes to promote road sharing among cyclists and motor vehicles.

The event will begin with registration at Bikers’ Cafe followed by a one-hour community ride at a controlled speed of 12 to 15 kilometers per hour. This event is not a race so participants are expected to stay with the group.

At the end of the ride, there will be photo opportunities and breakfast. No fees will be collected in order to join this activity.

The rising number of cases of road accidents involving bicycles against motor vehicles is rising. The organizers are dedicating the event to Chris Luis, a cyclist who met an accident recently along the stretch of Macapagal Boulevard.

Riders are encouraged to share and spread the event on social media using the official hash tags #OnePelotonOneRoad and #BikeSafeRoadsNOW.
