Coming later this year – the J Wall 2!

BASKETBALL ALL-STAR John Wall of the Washington Wizards recently gave fans a sneak peek of the second edition of his signature shoe, the adidas J Wall 2. In a video posted on adidas Periscope, Wall is spotted at the Lincoln Memorial from where he goes on to hide an autographed pair somewhere within Washington, DC.

Joining the elite circle of players with signature shoes must have worked wonders for Wall’s game. In the just-concluded 2014-2015 season, he went on to lead the Wizards in scoring (17.6), assists (10.0), steals (1.7) and minutes played (35.9) over 79 games.

The good statistics were enough for Wall to be selected to play in the 2015 All-Star Game in New York City, his second consecutive. At the end of the season, he earned his first appearance in the All-Defensive Second Team.

The 46-36 Wizards reached the Eastern Conference Semifinals, bowing to the Atlanta Hawks in six games, after Wall went down with a wrist injury in the series opener and missed the next three games. The Wizards with a healthy Wall swept the Toronto Raptors in the First Round, 4-0.

The J Wall 2 is expected to hit stores in the fall, just in time for the NBA’s 2015-2016 season, Wall’s sixth since being the top rookie pick in the 2010 Draft out of the University of Kentucky. Follow adidas on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the latest updates using the hash tag #JWall2.
