THE TEMPERATURE is really very hot these days so it is very timely that adidas launched earlier this month the Climachill apparel range with that intuitive body heat management technology to cool athletes in such conditions. The clothes are designed for maximum cooling benefits while keeping an eye for comfort and design.

At first, one may be surprised with the choice of black, a color that is known to absorb and retain heat. Users need not worry because Climachill produces an instant cooling sensation upon contact with the skin through the innovative 3-D aluminum spheres and the SubZero flat yarn that is interwoven with titanium.

“When it comes to performance, every degree matters,” said adidas Director of Future Sport Science Dr. Maarten Hupperets. “The Climachill apparel is the smartest and most advanced sporting product and can provide maximum cooling experience.”

In order to deliver the message the new products bring, adidas has tapped four world-class athletes in Jeremy Lin, Gareth Bale, Octavious Freeman and Simona Halep. In their chosen sports, training and competing in hot conditions cannot be avoided.

Perhaps the most recognizable to local fans is Lin, the Asian-American basketball sensation of the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers. Bale, who plays for Real Madrid and the Wales National Team, is gaining recognition together with the rise of football’s popularity with Filipinos.

The 23-year old Romanian Halep is currently ranked as the third best women’s tennis player in the world by the ATP. Freeman is a sprinter who specializes in the 100 meters and is a top medal prospect for the United States at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

The Climachill product line is now available at all adidas Sports Performance Stores and major department stores and sporting goods shops. Online orders are also accepted at the adidas Online Store.
