EXPECT THE superstars of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) to not only display superior basketball skills but also look good on the court as the partnership with Schick as the league’s official razor has been formalized recently. Schick has long been a sponsor of basketball and other sporting events both here and abroad and it is only fitting that they have now combined forces with Asia’s first professional basketball league.
“We are extremely excited about our partnership with the PBA because this is a league made up of individuals that pride themselves in staying fit and healthy inside and out,” says Schick OIC for Marketing Claire Guevarra. “We are working with PBA to spread the message about the importance of good grooming in a successful career, be it sports related or not.”
True enough, today’s PBA players are not only athletes concerned with the sport they play. Through the years, they have metamorphosed into representatives of their team’s mother companies, hence the importance of imaging through good grooming both on and off the playing area.
Since 2012, Schick has been touring the Philippines through its “Suaveng Ahit, Gwapong Schick Barangay Tour” wherein they promote a healthy lifestyle through grooming seminars, dance contests and basketball.
