THE LATEST innovation in running shoes, the adizero Primeknit 2.0, will be available starting today (October 18) at the adidas Store at Two Parkade inside the Bonifacio Global City.  This is the very first one-piece upper performance running shoe in the market with a wide range of colors for both men and women.

Traditionally, running shoes are made up of several parts that are later pieced together.  For the adizero Primekit 2.0, the shoe’s upper is digitally knitted in one piece with no lining or reinforcement.

The new technology allows for the creation of a lightweight shoe that conforms seamlessly around the foot while providing strength and ventilation.  Being knit in one piece also means the use of fewer materials hence reducing waste.

“We are constantly innovating to bring superior performance products to the greatest athletes in the world,” said James Carnes, the Head of Sport Design Performance at adidas.  “In designing the adizero Primeknit, our goal was to completely rethink how footwear is engineered, with a keen eye on sustainable construction.  This revolutionary design will forever change the way we engineer shoes, combining both premium innovation and maximum performance benefits.”

A pair will retail for PHP 8,295.00 with six colors to choose from.  Initially, the magenta and black variants will be available with the red, green, blue and yellow to be released between next month and January, 2014.
