THE YAKULT 10-Miler, one of the oldest and more prestigious road races in the Philippines, hits the streets again on March 17, 2013 (Sunday) at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) grounds in Pasay City. Now on its 24th year, the Yakult 10-Miler will continue its proud history of producing champions.
Registration is in full swing at Mizuno stores at the SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, Trinoma and Bonifacio High Street. Fee is only PHP 500.00 inclusive of a singlet, race bib and timing device. Five and three-kilometer side events will also be held for only PHP 450.00.
Cash prizes, trophies and Yakult gift packs await the top five male and female finishers in the 10-Miler. Meanwhile, medals and gift packs will go to the top three males and females in the five-kilometer category.
While the three-kilometer race is open to all runners, only children in the 6-9 and 10-12 age groups will be eligible to receive prizes. All finishers in all distances will receive a t-shirt and a bottle of Yakult, the unique health drink with Lactobacilli Shirota strain.
Filipino running royalty is expected to go all out for redemption against the visitors from Kenya who dominated last year’s edition. Only Cristabel Martes was able to climb up the podium, earning Third Place in the Women’s Division.
The males were not as lucky as they were shut out of the winners’ circle. Eduardo Buenavista emerged as the best Filipino male at Fourth Place, sandwiched between a pair of Kenyans. Benjamin Kipkazi and Irine Kipchumba took home top honors.

Hi Sir Avelino, thank you very much for your kind support and cooperation. More power!
Tried to measure route with Google Earth. Got around 14k. My measurement could be
approximate but it should not be far off. Mali po kaya sukat ko ng CCP complex to Airport Road-Katigbak then back to CCP?
